Pre-assembly for First Main Cold Box of SJ Company Completed

It is reported that MCC Third has successfully pre-assembled the first main cold box of air separation units (ASU) from Air Liquide (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd and Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd (SJ Company). It is also known that two sets of ASU are included in this oxygen project (phase II).


This project is located in Caofeidian District, Hebei Province. MCC Third is responsible for fabrication and transportation of accessories needed in ASU, such as steel structural part and frame for bulked cold box, panel platform ladder, steel grating, steel wire mesh, fastener, etc. Additionally, this project also includes 2 main cold boxes, 2 plated cold boxes and 4 noble-gas cold boxes. Owning to the strict requirements for inspection, package and transportation, all components related to this project should reach to SA2.5 for preparation grade before coating. The total weight of involved components is about 450 tons. Since now, pre-assembly works for the first main cold box has been totally completed.
