Eurocity Set to Rise in Gibraltar

It is reported that one of Gibraltar’smajor real estate players has revealed the first new renderings of Eurocity, aninnovative 366-home mixed-use project that is set to change the face of theBritish Overseas Territory. The Eurocity is situated in the central businessdistrict, punctuated by three sustainable towers including Gibraltar’s tallestat 22 stories and 70 meters, with views towards Spain, Africa and the Rock. Thehigh-specification apartments will sit amongst landscaped raised piazzasdesigned by RHS Chelsea Flower Show winner Andy Sturgeon, along with a range ofamenities, including 24-hour concierge, car parking, a gym and three swimmingpools, including a 25-meter lap pool. 

At ground level, retail and commercialspace will help to deliver a pioneering destination for families, businessesand professionals alike. The rest of Gibraltar is mostly reachable on foot,with good schools, restaurants, and a Morrisons supermarket nearby, while therecently upgraded international airport is just a five-minute drive away.


Evgeny Cherepakhov, the project-relatedpersonnel, said, “Our vision is to bring international standards of design toGibraltar, combining luxury resort living with an already established globalbusiness center to create a year-round destination. Property demand continues to outstripsupply, with around 13,000 Gibraltar employees living in Spain, many of whichwould choose to live in Gibraltar if suitable properties were available.Currently there are around only 250 homes available on the open market forpurchase, and about one-tenth of that available to rent.
