National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) was cooperatively built by Ministry of Commerce and Shanghai Municipal Government, the total floor area is about 1.47 million sqm, including 1.27 sqm for ground building area. At present, it is the world’s largest individual building and Exhibition Complex. With its revolutionary planning and design, perfect service functions as well as the aim of serving the whole China and the international market based on Yangtze River Delta, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) boosts the Chinese industrial structure adjustment and promotes the mode transformation of economic development and contributes to the Chinese economy and society under the guideline of "Sound and Fast Development".

Located in the west core area of Hongqiao CBD, Shanghai, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), whose crow flies to Hongqiao Integrated Transport Hub is just 1.5 km, is closely linked with Hongqiao High Speed Rail Station and Hongqiao Airport by subway. The surrounding highway network extends to all directions, people can arrive at any important city in Yangtze River Delta in two hours due to very convenient transportation.

National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) is composed of Exhibition Center, supporting business center, office building and hotel, which are integrated by Exhibition Avenue with the elevation of 8 m. Thus, all types of people can conveniently pass through the four parts mentioned before.

The available exhibition area for National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) is about 500,000 sqm, including two parts - indoor exhibition hall (400,000 sqm) and outdoor exhibition venue (100,000 sqm). The indoor exhibition hall is consisted of thirteen large show-rooms with unit area of 28,800 sqm and three small show-rooms with unit area of 9,700 sqm. The trucks can drive to the exhibition hall directly. For the ground floor in the North Area, there are four large showrooms and one small showroom, which are supplied with sufficient electric power, their landing load is 5 T/m².The large showroom is dual structure, the remainders are all single-layer showrooms without pillars. Thus, these showrooms are especially suitable to hold exhibition for heavy or industrial equipment. For the ground floor in the South Area, the landing load of four dual structure large showroom is 3.5 T/m², and the dimension of column grid is 27 m x 36 m with a clear height of 11 m. For five large showrooms and two small showrooms, the landing load is 1.5 T/m², and the dimension of column grid for large showrooms is 36 m x 54 m with an average clear height of 16 m, which can meet the requirements of most exhibitions. Each exhibition hall has equipped with sufficient convention facilities, which is composed of convention halls with different sizes to hold various conferences for difference scale, from dozens of people to about three thousand people respectively.

National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) has designed advanced transportation system for achieving the aim of pedestrian system separated from vehicle system, separation of people and cargo, creating an independent transportation system among all types of operation, ensuring exhibition installation, move-out and daily transportation safety.

Located in the central location, the supporting business center is connected with each showroom and reached by subway directly.
