Shanghai Astronomy Museum, with the total investment of 600 million RMB, is located in Pudong New District, Shanghai. The total height of this project is 23.95 m, while it occupies 58,600 sqm of land, including 38,163.9 sqm of building area. Meanwhile, this project contains main building, juvenile observation base, astronomical observatory and magical solar tower.

This project adopts large cantilever structure, which is consisted of 2-layer and 2-direction trusses, and its span is about 61 m, becoming the largest cantilever structural building in China. 2 sides of this structure are connected with steel shear wall structure system, while its external part uses the structure of single-row & 4-layer truss columns and outer arc truss structure. Besides, the inner part of this project is connected with concrete beams and columns by using embedment, supporting 2,000 t of steel structure from main building. In particular, most parts of this project use the free-standing system, which are supported by 2 steel core walls. This project is planned to be completed in 2019 and opened to the public in 2020.
