Shanghai Disneyland is the first China mainland’s, third Asian and sixth world’s Disney theme park, which is located in Pudong new district of Shanghai and officially opened on Jun. 16, 2016.

Shanghai Disneyland contains six theme parks such as “Adventure Island”, “Gardens of Imagination”, ”Mickey Avenue ”, “Tomorrow Land”, “Treasury Cove” and “Dream World”, while some of entertainments in such parks are customize for Shanghai Disneyland and firstly appeared to the public. Fantasy fairy tale castle (known as “Dream World”) is situated in the center part of  Shanghai Disneyland with the total height of 69.28m; it is not only the highest building in Shanghai Disneyland, but also the highest, largest and most interactive Disney castle in the world; the main castle is surrounded by 28 towers, of which the main body is made up of steel structure.

Buildings in Disneyland are characterized as “cluster, small-but-exquisite” and these buildings mainly adopt steel structure. The external curtain wall in Disneyland fully show the architectural type named “assembled building” is skillfully applied. The steel structural buildings in Disney are complicated, various with high installation accuracy. Along the Mickey Avenue, 24 theme buildings with different styles are distributed symmetrically, among which, 7 individual steel buildings with complicated shape can form 200 independent fa?ade shapes, like conical roof, dormer, sloping roof, dome, cylindrical wall, etc. In addition, some buildings have no too much engineering quantity of steel construction, but lots of steel parts need to be processed and installed. Apart from the main stress components, more than 50% components is less than 100kg, which is rare in steel structural field.
