Terminal 3 of Harbin International Airport will start in 2019, and finish in 2023. Meanwhile, the total investment of this project is 48 billion RMB, it covers 500,000 sqm.
Harbin Taiping International Airport Terminal 3 is located in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, it is one of the busiest airport in China northeast area. According to the construction plan, Terminal 3 will start in 2019, and finish in 2023. Meanwhile, the total investment of this project is 48 billion RMB, it covers 500,000 sqm and the parking apron can accommodate 150 flights. This project will adopt “parallel runaway” model, while newly-established runaway in the east is 3,600 m and the runaway in the west is 3,800 m. Once completed, the whole airport will cover 700,000 sqm of land, and can accommodate 230 flights. Additionally, the volume of passengers will reach to 43 million per year, and about 320,000 flights will rise and land here.
From the perspective of design, the Terminal 3 looks like a snow flying in Harbin, meanwhile, it also shaped as interstellar space base. In addition, this terminal has the inner gardens, used for good scenery and public space, and also the unique guidance for passengers. The top of garden uses the glass window to let the sunshine inside the terminal, making the passengers enjoy the natural lights and can help reduce the artificial lighting.
