Dongan Lake Sports Park Stadium project is located in Longquanyi District, Chengdu City, and the total area of this project is about 300,000 sqm, including the 20,000 sqm of stadium with 40,000 seats, landscape greenbelt, parking lot and other facilities. Once completed, this multi-functional project will be used as the main stadium for 31^st Universiade in 2021, as well as the hosting venue for 12^th World Games in 2025.

This project looks like a flying saucer and is a rare stadium with the shape of perfect circle. Meanwhile, the main structure of this project will be 4 floors, which requires about 80,000 cubic meters of concrete and 30,000 cubic meters of concreted will be used for the 1^st floor. Roof involved in this stadium mainly adopts steel structure, the span and height of which are 290 m and 48.7 m correspondingly. The total steel consumption for the stadium is 14,000 t and about 19,000 steel parts are involved. Patterns of the “Solar Devine Bird” on the roof is very charming and attractive, whose width is 46 m and area is 27,000 sqm. The patterns are assembled by 12,160 laminated glasses, and glazing technique is adopted to ensure the color and luster of these patterns. On the south side of the stadium, a viewing hall is set at a height of 29 meters, with a view of 120 degrees. This project is anticipated to be completed in the end of April 2021.
