As one of the key projects of Olympic Games, Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 is currently the largest airport in China. With total investment of RMB25 billion, Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 was put into operation on Feb 29th and March 26th, 2016 in two phases after nearly 4-year construction.

 

Terminal 3 is situated at the east of Beijing Capital International Airport, the main building and auxiliary projects are located between the existing east runway and newly-built runway. T3 is consisted of a main building, a domestic lounge, as well as an international lounge. With total building area of 986,000sqm, thereinto, the main building accounts for 580,000sqm, having 5 floors on the ground together with 2 floors underground and the area of each floor reaches to 180,000sqm, all of which are equipped with automatic processing and high-speed transmission baggage system, MRT system and information system. 99 new aircraft stands and a new runway with the size of “3800mx60m” (meeting the operational requirements of type-F aircraft) are built, which are equipped with three types of world's most advanced precision automatic aircraft guidance system, so that the aircraft can still land in the low visible condition. Furthermore the world’ largest aircraft A380 can also smoothly landing there.
