Dera Ghazi Khan Cement Plant Project, located in Baluchistan, Pakistan, is now underway. This cement plant is one of the most important projects of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is jointly constructed by Chinese and German companies. It is said the steel components of this project is produced in Yunnan province, China.

With the total investment of $400 million, Dera Ghazi Khan Cement Plant has become the largest plant in current Pakistan with daily output of high-quality cement reaching to 10,000 tons. This project aims to meet the increasing requirement of cement in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Gwadar Port. The involved Chinese company provides 3,806 tons of steel components for the plant’s construction. All the offered steel components by China fabricated according to German Standard.

Encouraged by its national policy, a German company named Brenner Steel works together with a Chinese company about this project in Pakistan, setting a good example for international production capacity cooperation, as well as construction works in the third party marketplace.

As for the cement project in Pakistan, Brenner Steel provides the original design, while China undertakes the works of final design and product fabrication. The completed products will be firstly transported from Kunming to Huangpu Port in Guangzhou by sea-railway, and then form Guangzhou to Karachi Port by sea. The whole transportation distance is 14,250 km. Thanks to the sea-rail combined transport in Central Asia, the shipping cost is cut by 50% while the transportation efficiency is greatly improved.
